Summer Is Closer Than You Think!

02/04/2016 by CherryHillAdmin

Can you believe how quickly 2016 is going? It is already February! Before you know it, it will be summer, and if you are looking for the best place to send your kids for Summer Camp, look no further than ISC Cherry Hill!

A Fun, Safe Environment

When sending your child to camp, their safety should never be your concern. At ISC Cherry Hill, all of our staff is 18 or older and CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified. They have undergone an extensive orientation process. They are also fingerprinted, and given a full background check, because you can never be too safe when working with children. We are licensed and receive an annual inspection by the state of New Jersey.

It Won’t Put A Strain on Your Wallet

Summer camp should not be a luxury expense; everyone should be able to participate. At ISC Cherry Hill we offer early registration, as well as sibling discounts, company discounts, referral discounts and weekly camp tuition payments.

Your Child Will Be Excited To Go!

This is your child’s vacation from school, and a time to relax and have fun. The way we have structured our camp, involves and engages each camper and supports them as they learn, play, and grow. Your child will love being introduced to many new experiences, and he/she will have a well-rounded summer camp experience they will love!

If this sounds like something you think your child would enjoy, or to find out more, visit our website or give us a call at: (856) 428-8588. We hope to see you and your child soon for an awesome time at Summer Camp!

Honor Boy Scout Day With Us!

01/27/2016 by CherryHillAdmin

Next Sunday, International Skating and Fun Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey will be celebrating Boy Scout day! If your troop leader signs you up your troop can get free skating on February  7th. We thought we would delve into the history of the boy scouts a little bit more, as it is a rich and exciting one! Scouts honored at Deptford

When were the boy scouts founded?

The boy scouts were first founded in America by William Dickson Boyce in 1910, two short years after Lord Baden-Powel founded them in Great Britain. As it states in the boy scout code, everyone should try and do a good deed on this day in honor of the founding.

How do the actual scouts celebrate?

The boy scout troops themselves celebrate by incorporating religious tones and attending church together on Scout Sunday, after which they have breakfast together. Many troops take the Sunday closest to Boy Scout Day to get together and play sports, go hunting, or just generally spend time enjoying each other’s company.

How is ISC Cherry Hill honoring this tradition?

At ISC Cherry Hill, we believe in and support the boy scout code. We feel it is an excellent organization promoting good morals and values to the youth of America today. We are holding a Boy Scout Skate on Scout Sunday in which all troops that sign up can get free skating!

If you are interested in getting your son involved in the Boy Scouts of America, check out their website, or if he is already a boy scout, make sure to visit us on February 7th!

3 Hard Truths About Kid’s Parties

01/20/2016 by CherryHillAdmin

Here at International Skating and Fun Center of Cherry Hill, we know a thing or two about throwing a birthday party. After all, we see our fair share of them at our spacious facility. What you may not know however are the hard truths for parents about throwing a kid’s party, so we thought you should hear them from us first. Party hat and streamer

Truth #1: No parent wants to be there

This is tricky, because they seem lovely at the after-school pick up line, and at Timmy’s school concert but no parent wants to sit at their kid’s friend’s birthday party for three hours…or do they? At ISC Cherry Hill, we make the time for the parents just as nice as the time for the children! We will have food, and a place for parents to sit. You will have as much fun as the kids!

Truth #2: Half the kids will not RSVP
Unfortunately, this one may be true, but with our custom invitations, it will be hard for parents NOT to RSVP! They will want to ensure that their child is going to the most epic birthday bash ever!

Truth #3: The Goodie Bag Won’t Make It Out Of The Car

Usually this is because the toys are cheap, and your kids will get sick of playing with them before you get home. With us, the goodie bag will not make it out of the car because your kids will take the toys out and bring them in with them, leaving an empty bag in the car.

Get In Shape For The New Year!

01/05/2016 by CherryHillAdmin

SkatingHappy New Year! We hope everyone had a lovely holiday season, and we hope you have a great 2016! With the New Year, comes new beginnings. Resolutions to quit smoking, or reduce your consumption of alcohol, or spend more time with family are all common ones, but here at ISC Cherry Hill we want to focus on two in particular: the resolution to live a healthier life, and to spend more time with your family.

Leading a healthy life is so much more important than the infamous “dieting”. Diets come and go, but it is not until you change your way of life that you will truly see lasting results. Exercise is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to reduce calories, build muscle tone, and yes, be happier. Exercise releases endorphins, which triggers a chemical response in the brain that essentially makes you happy. WebMD actually states that “if [teens] walk 4 miles a day four times a week, [they] can burn about 1,600 calories or nearly half a pound a week.” This is without changing your diet at all. Skating burns even more calories than walking! Can you believe it?

Taking classes at ISC Cherry Hill can also help you bond with your family. It is very important to build relationships while your children are young, as it will help them socially, physically, and emotionally. Starting at the age of two, your child can participate in Tyke Tuesday with us, where you and your child learn to skate together, teaching team play, social skills, and athleticism. As your child grows, he or she can choose from the many classes and team sports we offer! So, the next time you wonder how you and your child can become closer, think International Sports Center Cherry Hill!
