Did you know that ISC Cherry Hill not only offers the opportunity to participate in the sport of roller skating, but it also offers five other sports, including youth league Futsal! Below is some more information about futsal if you or your child is unfamiliar with this sport.
You may ask, what is futsal?
Typically described as “indoor soccer” or “room football,” futsal is a fast-paced, high energy game that requires players on one of two teams to act with a high level of control and creativity when it comes to moving the ball around the futsal field (or court) in order to score a goal.
Will my child like futsal if they like soccer?
It is likely your child will like futsal if they’re into soccer; however, going to a futsal game or watching some game videos together may help you get a better idea if they are interested.
Does futsal have different rules from soccer?
YES! Some major differences of futsal vs soccer rules include (not all listed):
- Ball type – #4 (30% less bounce)
- Unlimited substitutions
- Stopped Clock
- 20 minute halves
*For more information on rules, including additional ISC rules, please visit our futsal league rules here.
How is the team set-up?
