Team fee must be paid in full on the first night of play or credit card information will be kept on file. All money must be in by the 3rd week of play.
Teams are responsible for paying ref fees. EACH TEAM MUST PAY THEIR COURT REF $15 CASH BEFORE THE START OF THE MATCH.
MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS
must be completed by all players before they step on the court.
Each team will have a roster.
COED rosters require a minimum of 2 female and 6 total players.
Anyone that plays on your team must be on your roster. A player can only be on one roster per league. Players cannot sub for other teams in the same league (when league has more than 8 teams).
You can only play on one team per league. A player that subs for more than one team in a league loses there play-off eligibility for all teams in that league.
MINIMUM PLAYERS FOR A LEGAL TEAM & APPLICATION OF GHOST RULE
A legal team has a minimum of 4 players (1 must be female)
4 players (1 must be female) no ghost (server is the only back row player)
5 or more players 2 must be female or play with ghost to replace missing female
Subs one for one no LIBERO in Coed B and BB. Coed A may use a LIBERO. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A FEMALE LIBERO YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 WOMEN PLAYING. 2 WOMEN MUST ROTATE ALL THE WAY AROUND THE COURT.
If both teams are missing a female there will be no ghost point awarded however the ghost will continue to rotate around the court.
EXPLANATION OF GHOST RULE
A Ghost indicates that the team will rotate to serve and sideout/point to the other team for the female player that is missing when it is that players term of service.
This indicates that one or more rotations may have less than 3 players in the front row.
MENS A and BB TEAMS – may use a libero
MENS BB TEAMS have 2 or less A level players stepping on the court in any set.
The top eight(8)teams will qualify for the play-offs. The play-offs require any participant to have played in a minimum of 3 matches during the regular season or 2 matches in a short season. In the event of an injury the ref, team captain and I will arrive at a fair resolution (a player of equal or lesser ability) to any roster change.
Required to make all judgement calls
Required to keep control of the game and issue warnings and cards as needed
1 Ejection from match results in a one match suspension.
2 Ejections in a season = suspension for the rest of that season
(possible multiple season or permanent suspension determined by commissioner and refs)
Announce match and game start times to players and captains.
Determine the game length (25 or 15 point) prior to the start of each game in accordance with the set time frame.
Determine during pre-game meeting the application of the ghost rule and rotational rules when 6 players (minimum of 2 females) are not present in accordance with the set league rules.
